WB maintains Russia’s GDP growth forecast at 2.4% in 2022
WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (PRIME) -- The World Bank (WB) has maintained its forecast for the increase of Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2022 at 2.4%, the organization said in a report on Tuesday.
The organization also maintained its outlook on Russia’s GDP growth at 1.8% in 2023.
Growth expectations for 2021 remained at 4.3%, the same as in the December report on the Russian economy.
The WB experts attributed the expected slowdown to the continued tightening of monetary policy, exhaustion of domestic demand growth reserves and a possible decline in commodity prices.
